Tout à fait d'accord avec Dominique, c'est vraiment limite de comparer la pornographie au racisme.
Pour ma part, je suis comme Nwab, j'ai déjà accepté de traduire des textes "délicats" sur différents plans… Mais chacun voit midi à sa porte.
Un débat pour savoir si vous afficheriez de tels projets dans votre portfolio, ok ! Et je veux bien que les traducteurs refusent individuellement de traduire des textes traitant de tel ou tel sujet… mais vouloir appliquer une telle politique à toute une agence, je n'y vois qu'un manque de professionnalisme.

J'adore ces histoires croustillantes de mauvaises traductions qui, malheureusement, abondent en Espagne, pays par excellence du mépris du travail d'écriture! Ah (soupir)! si cette affaire de Mango pouvait faire suffisamment de bruit pour faire prendre conscience aux entrepreneurs espagnols de l'importance des rédacteurs et traducteurs de tous poils!
Il me vient à l'esprit le souvenir d'un panneau trilingue en bas d'un immeuble de bord de plage en Catalogne: en espagnol, c'était "paso prohibido" (autrement dit, "défense de passer"), en catalan "pas prohibit" et en français… "pas interdit"!!! C'est-y pas génial?

I believe the crowd book is a great project worth participating. The world can learn a lot from linguists since we are by the nature of our profession are at the cutting edge between cultures in business, social life, art and literature. Linguists are often barely visible but viral, I even dare say vital catalysts of the global communication process. It's great to be part of the crowd book, thank you for inviting me to participate.
